2. What to watch: Sacred Games

India’s first Netflix original is based on Vikram Chandra’s book of the same name. It’s an engaging crime thriller, which tells the story of the criminal overlord Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and police officer Sartaj Singh (Saif Ali Khan), and how, through the course of the show, their lives get intertwined. The series takes an interesting turn in the second season with the entry of Guruji (Pankaj Tripathi).

He has a system with which he can track all his agents whenever he wants. They talk over mobile phones without codes or encrypted messages, like the only intelligence agency on the face of the Earth is an Indian one. No other country is trying to track spies on its soil. Good for Himmat Singh and his men.
