The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) has recently changed the COPA AMERICA 2021 Schedule. 9 times champion Brazil is all set to play their Group B match against Venezuela in the opening fixture on June 13 IST.
Last year Copa America fixture was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After Australia and Qatar announced their participation withdrawal, the competition will now have 10 participants. The competition was originally set to be jointly hosted by Argentina and Colombia, but the CONMEBOL announced that Brazil will now host the entire competition.
Due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the country, Argentina was removed from hosting Copa America 2021. Colombia was also removed as a host due to massive protests in the nation.
Schedule has to be changed due to instability around the COPA AMERICA 2021 Schedule. Hosts Brazil will feature in the opener at the Mane Garrincha Stadium. The Copa America 2021 final will be held at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana Stadium.

However, on 23 February 2021, Qatar Football Association and the Football Australia announced their withdrawal from the tournament, due to the delay of the remainder of the AFC Second Round of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification to June 2021.
As per the CONMEBOL spokesperson, there was a calendar issue that stopped Australia and Qatar.
