The man who uploaded a TikTok video (Sayyad Jamil Babu), in which he was licking notes, thus creating panic among people, has been arrested by the Nasik police.
A man in Malegaon, Maharashtra have been arrested by Nasik rural police after a TikTok video showed him wiping his nose and licking currency, while the spread of coronavirus in the country is on acceleration. The accused’s name is Sayad Jamil Babu, who had shared a video on Tik Tok titled ‘Wecome to India Corona Virus’ and had claimed that the virus was a divine punishment.
After the video went viral, the Cyber Crime police came into action and traced the location from where the video was first shared. After that Nasik rural police arrested the accused and charged him with sections 153 for hurting sentiments and section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
An official said, “In the video, he said that the epidemic would intensify further. After the video went viral, we arrested him. He has been remanded in police custody till 7th April.”
Meanwhile, the police has also arrested 3 other person, all are between 23-27 years old, from Malegaon. The accused have been identified as Sayad Hussain Ali (23), Abdul Qureshi (27) and Sufiyan Mukhtar (24).
A case has been registered against them in Azad Nagar Police Station in Nahik.
